Permanent Chain Chasers are pear shaped and used extensively in the offshore industry for use with semi-submersible drilling rigs.
Overview:
The permanent chain chaser with shackle eye offers superior sliding and penetration characteristics and is suitable for use with most recognised anchor types. Such types include AC-14, LWT, Stevin, Danforth and Moorfast anchors.
Where customers have special requirements, LMS has the ability to produce permanent chain chasers to your individual requirements.
Supply examples
102 – Operating in water depths up to 200 metres and suitable for anchors weighing 15 tonnes and for chains up to 3 ½ inches in diameter
106 – Operating in water depths in excess of 200 metres and suitable for anchors weighing 30 tonnes and for chains up to 4 ½ inches in diameter
110 – Suitable for anchors up to 30 tonnes, the elongated aperture is particularly suited to anchor types such as Stevin NMD because of its tall narrow shank cross section.
